Casio G-Shock, is an urban retro-style video shot on the streets of New York City, the home of BMX icon Nigel Sylvester. The video, titled 1987 the year Nigel was born, celebrates a collaborative timepiece between Casio G-Shock and Nigel. As an adult, Nigel looks back on his year of birth as a time of great creative freedom and experimentation. The film was created to capture that spirit. More after the jump.

Working with volunteer models, bikes (INSA’s current preferred icon of commodified culture), and large scale painted walls INSA creates momentary installations in public spaces.

In this set of photographic works the viewer is instantly confronted with a series of subjects fighting for attention. INSA orchestrates a conflicting dialogue between all the elements and explicitly subordinates the value of his own street art to both the possessed object of the bike and the overtly sexualized female presence. Thus questioning our individual perceptions of the ownership of public space, of sexuality and of belonging(s). And by using the colour spectrum as a simple narrative INSA unifies this series of walls that were painted across the globe.”

En effet la collection GEEK Vision x Steve Aoki x The Cobrasnake aura lieu en toute exclusivité le samedi 18 juin 2011 dans le concept store Blackrainbow 68 rue des archives 75003, de 19 à 22h.

La jeune marque Française a toujours été reconnue pour ses aspects Provoc , parfois Trash comme l’est l'esprit des soirées de ces deux protagonistes !
C'est donc tout naturellement que GEEK Vision développe cette collection limitée avec l’incontournable photographe de fête Mark Hunter a.k.a Cobrasnake et quoi de mieux pour saler l’addition que le Deejay le plus en vogue du moment.
